FITTING INSTRUCTION

WARNING
  • Accessories which are not correctly installed can be dangerous. Read the instructions carefully prior to installation. Comply with instructions at all times. If in doubt, contact your nearest approved retailer.
CAUTION
  • If protective wax has been applied to the vehicle it must be thoroughly removed before starting this procedure.
  • The vehicle must be clean, dry and at workshop temperature. Vehicles moved into the workshop from cold or wet conditions must be dried and left to stand for a minimum of 2 hours.
NOTE
  • Left side illustrations shown. Right side is similar.
Fitting Instruction

WARNING
  • The vehicle must be supported using suitable axle stands.

Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable lift. For additional information, please refer to the official Workshop Manual. Lifting (100-02)

NOTE
  • Retain the bolt for installation.

Remove the bolt.

WARNING
  • Make sure to wear suitable personal protective equipment.
CAUTION
  • Allow to dry for a minimum of 60 seconds before proceeding to the next step.

Using the cleaner in the supplied pack (C), clean the illustrated area.

  • Allow to dry for a minimum of 60 seconds before proceeding to the next step.

Using the adhesion promoter in the supplied pack (D), wipe the illustrated area.

Remove and discard the backing from the adhesive strip.

CAUTION
  • Make sure that the front mudflap is positioned correctly before the adhesive strip makes contact with the vehicle body.

Install the front mudflap.

  1. Correctly position the front mudflap against the lower trim panel as illustrated. Continue to apply pressure to the front mudflap so it is held in the correct position while completing the rest of the step.
  2. Install the bolt.
  3. Torque: 5 Nm

CAUTION
  • Make sure that the retaining clips are positioned over the front mudflap and the lower trim panel.

Using a suitable tool, install the retaining clips (B).

NOTE
  • Make sure the front mudflaps are not distorted and do not have gaps where they fit to the vehicle body.

Inspect the completed installation of the front mudflaps.
