NOTE

Open the tailgate.

Remove the tailgate trim panel.For additional information, please refer to the official Workshop Manual. Tailgate Trim Panel (501-05)

Remove the backing from the foam pad and install it to the activity key transceiver module (A).

Slide the transceiver module into the bracket (C) as shown.

Locate the activity key harness connector on the tailgate.

Connect the tailgate harness to the activity key transceiver module (A).

CAUTION

Insert the activity key transceiver module and bracket through the hole in the tailgate trim.

Install the bracket on the tailgate using the push fixings.

Replace the tailgate trim panel.For additional information, please refer to the official Workshop Manual. Tailgate Trim Panel (501-05)

Use the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment to configure the activity key.

To lock the vehicle using the activity key.

Place the smart key inside the vehicle and close all the doors.
Within 30 seconds of closing the last door, hold the activity key (E) against the Land Rover badge on the tailgate, as illustrated.

To unlock the vehicle using the activity key.

Hold the activity key against the Land Rover badge on the tailgate as illustrated.
