Remove the existing front treadplate from the vehicle.
Remove the electrical connector from the front illuminated treadplate that is being removed.
Locate the front illuminated treadplate electrical connector cable.
Replace the vehicle carpet. Make sure the front illuminated treadplate electrical connector cable passes through the hole in the vehicle carpet as illustrated.
Feed the electrical connector cable through the hole in the vehicle carpet. Make sure there is sufficient cable length to connect to the socket on the front illuminated treadplate.
Connect the electrical connector, coming from the main wiring harness, into the socket on the front illuminated treadplate.
Align the 2 location pins, at either end of the front illuminated treadplate, with the 2 holes in the vehicle trim.
Attach the front illuminated treadplate to the vehicle. Make sure the 4 clips, on the front illuminated treadplate, locate into the 4 pockets in the vehicle trim.
Open the vehicle door and check that the front illuminated treadplate operates correctly.
