FITTING INSTRUCTION

Warnings / Cautions / Notes

WARNING
  • Second row seats must not be used when the 'Partition' is installed. They should be in the stowed position.
CAUTION
  • Make sure to protect the vehicle paintwork and trim.
Fitting Instruction
NOTE
  • Following steps to be completed on both sides of the vehicle.

NOTE
  • Retain the fixing.

Slide front seat back and remove the forward front seat rail fixing.

  • Retain the fixing.

slide front seat forward and remove the rear front seat rail fixing.

NOTE
  • Retain the plastic trim.

Remove the plastic trim from the end of the outboard seat rail. To aid removal the seat rail should be raised.

Install the bracket (C) to the outside seat rail.

Install the seat rail fixings.

  • Torque: 48Nm

Install the lower fixing plate (D) to the underside of the bracket (C).

Install the upper fixing plate (E) to the bracket (C) and the lower fixing plate (D).

Use a suitable trim tool to open the loadspace partition mounting slot cover on both sides of the vehicle.

  1. Insert the trim tool into the cutout.
  2. Open the loadspace partition mounting slot cover.

CAUTION
  • Make sure to protect the vehicle paintwork and trim.

Lower 2nd row seats (refer to Owner's Handbook if required). Then manoeuver the upper part of the loadspace partition (A) into the vehicle as illustrated.

NOTE
  • The loadspace partition pins may require side to side adjustment to locate correctly.

Install the loadspace partition pins to the mounting slots on both sides of the vehicle.

  1. Carefully raise the x2 loadspace partition pins into the larger circular slots.
  2. Move the loadspace partition pins over the tab that is part of the mounting slot bracket. Move the loadspace partition pins into the smaller circular slots.

NOTE
  • Make sure the loadspace partition legs are in the correct orientation.

Move the loadspace partition legs (B) into the vehicle.

  1. Make sure the holes in the loadspace partition legs align with the holes in the upper fixing plates (E).

Install the loadspace partition legs (B) to the upper fixing plate (E) and the lower fixing plate (D) using the thumbscrew (F).

Install the loadspace partition legs (B) to the top part of the loadspace partition (A) using the x2 thumbscrews (F).

  • Tightening the thumbscrews (F) puts the loadspace partition under tension and closes the air gap between parts A and B. Make sure there is no air gap between parts A and B when the thumbscrews are fully tightened.

After covering the indicated distances, inspect that all the thumbscrews remain appropriately tightened.

  • 500 km or 300 miles.
  • 1000 km or 600 miles.

CAUTION

NOTE
  • The loadspace partition pins may require side to side adjustment to allow removal.

To remove the 'Loadspace Partition' follow the steps.

  1. Release the thumbscrews (F) that secure the x2 parts of the 'Loadspace Partition' together.
  2. Release the loadspace partition legs (B) from the upper fixing plate (E) and the lower fixing plate (D).
  3. Remove the loadspace partition legs (B) from the vehicle through the front door.
  4. Move the loadspace partition pins out of the loadspace partition mounting slots on both sides of the vehicle.
  5. Protect the loadspace partition pins to make sure they do not damage the vehicle paintwork and trim.
  6. Remove the upper part of the loadspace partition (A) from the vehicle through the front door.
  7. Close the loadspace partition mounting slot cover on both sides of the vehicle.
  8. Remove the upper fixing plate (E) and the lower fixing plate (D) from the seat rail. Complete step on both sides of the vehicle.
  9. Remove the seat rail fixing and the bracket (C) from the seat rail. Complete step on both sides of the vehicle.
  10. Install the plastic trim to the seat rail. Install the fixing. Torque: 48Nm Complete step on both sides of the vehicle.
