Remove the startup battery. For additional information, please refer to the official Workshop Manual. Startup Battery (414-01) Ask your Jaguar Land Rover Retailer for a copy of this instruction if you do not have access to TOPIx.

Identify the rivet nut hole on the right side of the battery box under the seat area.

Use a suitable hole cutter to cut and discard the rubber floor trim as illustrated. Use the hole created in the previous step as a guide.

• 38 mm hole cutter
• Make sure the drill goes through the hard outer layer of the rubber floor trim.
• Behind the hard outer layer there is a foam backing. Clear away any remaining foam backing to allow access to the rivet nut.

Align the fire extinguisher bracket boss with the hole and rivet nut. Use the fixing (B) to loosely attach the bracket.

Align the fire extinguisher bracket so it is level with the footwell floor. Mark the center of the hole in the inboard boss of the bracket onto the vertical face of the plastic flooring.

Use a suitable hole cutter to cut and discard the rubber floor trim as illustrated. Use the mark as a guide.

• Make sure the drill goes through the hard outer layer of the rubber floor trim.
• Behind the hard outer layer there is a foam backing. Clear away any remaining foam backing to allow access to the rivet nut.

Install the bracket (A) using the fixings (B).

• Torque: 10 Nm

Install the fire extinguisher (D) into the fire extinguisher holder (A) as illustrated.
