FITTING INSTRUCTION

WARNING
  • Accessories which are not correctly installed can be dangerous. Read the instructions carefully prior to installation. Comply with instructions at all times. If in doubt, contact your nearest approved retailer.
CAUTION
  • The fire extinguisher cannot be installed if the vehicle has luxury carpet mats installed.
NOTE
  • The fire extinguisher can only be installed to left hand drive vehicles.
  • This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
Fitting Instruction

WARNING
  • Always install the fire extinguisher to the passenger front row seat. Do not install the fire extinguisher to the driver front row seat.
NOTE
  • The fire extinguisher can only be installed to left hand drive vehicles.

Move the passenger front row seat to the fully back position.

CAUTION
  • Retain the 2 plastic fixings.

Remove the 2 plastic fixings as illustrated.

Place masking tape on the front carpet at the illustrated locations. This will provide a guide edge for cutting the front carpet.

  • Use the 2 arrowed holes as reference points to measure from.

CAUTION
  • Do not cut all 4 edges of the front carpet.

Use a suitable tool to cut the front carpet along the edges defined by the masking tape and using the measurements in step 4 above.

  • Make sure the cut section of front carpet is 155 mm wide and 30 mm deep as illustrated.

Move aside the cut section of the front carpet as illustrated.

Using a suitable tool install the 2 rivet nuts (E).

  • Cut away the required amount of the foam that sits below the front carpet to allow the 2 rivet nuts to be installed.

Move aside the floor mat.

Install the fire extinguisher bracket (A) as illustrated.

Secure the fire extinguisher bracket (A) using the 2 bolts (D) and the 2 previously installed rivet nuts (E).

  • Torque: 9 Nm

Replace the cut section of the front carpet.

CAUTION
  • The fire extinguisher cannot be installed if the vehicle has luxury carpet mats installed.

Install the floor mat over the top of the fire extinguisher bracket.

Install the 2 plastic fixings as illustrated.

Install the fire extinguisher holder (B) to the fire extinguisher bracket (A).

Install the fire extinguisher (C) into the fire extinguisher holder (B) as illustrated.

CAUTION
  • Make sure the fire extinguisher is securely attached to the fire extinguisher holder (B).

Secure the fire extinguisher using the quick release strap.

CAUTION
  • Make sure the fire extinguisher is installed in the correct orientation as illustrated.

Move the passenger front row seat to the required position.
