Raise vehicle on a 4 pillar ramp.

Remove the rear rocker panel moulding on both sides of vehicle. For additional information, please refer to the official Workshop Manual. Rear Rocker Panel Moulding (501-08)

Remove (x16) fixings to remove right side underbody shield.

Remove (x16) fixings to remove left side underbody shield.

Remove (x3) fixings to remove rear brace bracket. Repeat on other side of vehicle.

Using a suitable tool, cut the underbody shield trims as illustrated.

1. Cut these parts out first.
2. This section is very small and may or may not need removing. You can decide to cut this section out when you install this trim. It may interfere with the front side tube mounting brackets (A2) and (B2).

Cutting foam pad (F).

1. Cut and discard the highlighted section as illustrated.
2. Remove and discard the adhesive backing from the foam pad.

Install the foam pad to the rear-right mounting bracket (B1) only. This is not required on (A1).

Install both rear side tube mounting brackets (A1 and B1). Brackets are labelled in the casting to aid installation.

Install both front side tube mounting brackets (A2 and B2) with the spacer kit (E). (Note orientation of spacer blocks (E).

Install both fixed side steps (A) and (B).

When you are happy that everything installs correctly proceed to tighten fixings on both rear side tube mounting brackets.

• Torque: 48 Nm.

Tighten fixings on both front side tube mounting brackets.

• Torque: 48 Nm.

Remove both fixed side steps.

Reinstall (x16) fixings to install right side underbody shield.

Reinstall (x16) fixings to install left side underbody shield.

Install rear rocker panel moulding on both sides of vehicle. For additional information, please refer to the official Workshop Manual. Rear Rocker Panel Moulding (501-08)

Install both fixed side steps (A) and (B).

Tighten (x4) fixings on each side.

• Torque: 9 Nm.

Inspect the alignment of the fixed side steps against the body trim.
