Australian Towbar Hitch

Solid Shank Anti-Rattle Shim Kit

NOTE
  • Anti-rattle kit may need to be ordered if a rattling noise can be heard from the installed towbar hitch.
Fitting Instruction

Insert towbar hitch (A) into towbar.

Unlock and separate the locking pin (C) with key (F).

Insert the locking pin (C) through the towbar and hitch.

Lock the locking pin by depressing the centre section.

Install the towball (B) with washer (D) and nut (E).

Tighten nut (E).

NOTE
  • These following steps are only for the installation of the anti-rattle kit.

Remove the towbar hitch from the towbar and mark up the centre point on the rear of the hitch as illustrated. Than drill and tap M8 x 1.25P 25mm depth.

Install shim (I) on the top of hitch and secure with washer (H) and bolt (G). Tighten bolt. 22 Nm

NOTE
  • There are 4 shims (I) supplied, however, not all shims need to be used. If more than 1 shim is used, and the top shim is required then the top shim must be the first shim installed.

Installing extra shims if required.
