FITTING INSTRUCTION

WARNING
  • Accessories which are not correctly installed can be dangerous. Read the instructions carefully prior to ordering and installation to make sure this accessory is applicable to your variant of vehicle. Comply with instructions at all times. If in doubt, contact your nearest approved retailer.

Warnings / Cautions / Notes

WARNING
  • Keep all flame and heat sources away from the tent fabric. The tent meets the flammability requirements of CPAI-84. The fabric may burn if left in continuous contact with any flame source. The application of any foreign substance to the tent fabric may render the flame-resistant properties ineffective.
CAUTION
  • The 'Inflatable Waterproof Awning' can 'NOT' be installed to the rear of the vehicle if your tailgate opens upwards. It must be installed to the side of the vehicle.
  • The 'Inflatable Waterproof Awning' can be installed to both rear and side of the vehicle if your tailgate opens sideways.

REMOVAL INSTRUCTIONS

Unzip the bag.

Remove the contents as shown in the kit image. Inflatable waterproof awning (A), hand pump (B), suction pads and straps (C), and pegs (D).

Fold out the inflatable waterproof awning, unravelling the dark gray inflatable part.

Fitting Instruction

Connect the hose and pump to the 'Inflate' side of the hand pump (B).

  1. Push the 7 PSI pump into the hand pump and turn clockwise to lock into place.
  2. Push hose into pump and turn clockwise to lock into place.

Remove the inflatable waterproof awning valve cap, unscrewing the top part.

Connect the hand pump hose (B) to the inflatable waterproof awning valve. Pump up the inflatable waterproof awning until firm. When inflated, remove the hose and then screw the inflatable waterproof awning valve cap back on.

CAUTION
  • If the vehicle has a ribbed fixed metal roof then complete install step 5.

Attach the suction pads to the vehicle roof, placing approximately one meter apart. This can be done over the rear side door or the rear tailgate depending on preference.

NOTE
  • Complete step for vehicles with a ribbed fixed metal roof.

If the vehicle has a ribbed fixed metal roof then the suction pads should be placed as illustrated.

  1. If installing the inflatable waterproof awning to the side of the vehicle then the suction pads must be installed to the opposite side of the vehicle.
  2. If installing the inflatable waterproof awning to the rear of the vehicle then the suction pads must be installed to both sides of the vehicle.

For vehicles equipped with the expedition roof rack, detach the straps from the suction pads and loop around the roof rack legs as illustrated.

Make sure the inflatable part is furthest away from the vehicle, lift up the inflatable waterproof awning, find the two rear clips and clip to the suction pad straps. Adjust the straps as required.

A minimum distance of 100 mm is recommended between the inflatable waterproof awning and the side of the vehicle body.

Pull out the inflatable waterproof awning so the connection strap is pulled tight.

NOTE
  • You can use just x2 or x4 awning ropes depending on preference.

Use the ground hooks (D) to secure the inflatable waterproof awning to the ground. Insert the ground hooks through the anchor points as illustrated.

  1. Tie the awning ropes (F) to each of the x4 D-rings on the awning.
  2. Create a loop on x4 long awing ropes.
  3. Feed ground hook (D) through the x2 hoops and anchor the hooks into the ground. Make sure there is tension in the ropes.
  4. Pull tight the awing and secure with x6 ground hooks (D) into the ground through the anchor points on the awing.

If the inflatable waterproof awning is installed to the rear of the vehicle then use the extra side panels to cover the gap. Keep the extra side panels folded away using the tie straps if installed to the side of the vehicle.

Both the side doors can be unzipped and folded away. The side doors can be tied up with the tie straps when not in use.

During removal the suction pads should be released by pulling on the tab as illustrated, when the lever has been released.

To deflate the inflatable waterproof awning unscrew the valve as illustrated. Make sure all the air is pressed out of the inflatable waterproof awning before folding away.
