FITTING INSTRUCTION

WARNING

Accessories which are not properly fitted can be dangerous. Read the instructions carefully prior to fitting. Whilst fitting, comply with instructions at all times. If in doubt, contact your nearest approved retailer.

CAUTION

This procedure requires additional part number VPLGP0338 - Foam Pad.

Remove the rear rocker panel moulding. For additional information, please refer to the official Workshop Manual. Rear Rocker Panel Moulding (501-08)

Remove the aerosheild.

Drill the aerosheild as illustrated.

Using a suitable tool cut the aerosheild as illustrated along the inside cut lines. Discard the highlighted centre section.

Using a suitable tool cut the aerosheild as illustrated along the inside cut lines. Discard the highlighted centre section.

Locate the side step mounting brackets.

Remove and discard the adhesive backing from the foam pad, part number VPLGP0338.

CAUTION

Make sure that the foam pad is correctly positioned on to the rear right bracket.

NOTE

This step applies to the right side mounting bracket only.

Install the foam pad to the rear right mounting bracket as illustrated.

Install the front side step mounting bracket bolts.

Torque: 48 Nm

Install the nut, washer and the inner front side step mounting bracket bolt. Insert spacers 'M' as required.

Torque: 48 Nm

Install the rear side step mounting bracket bolts.

Torque: 48 Nm

Secure the connector to the bracket.

Install the front splash shield to the bracket.

Install the modified aerosheilds.

Install the rear spash shield and securing bolts.

Install the rear rocker panel moulding. For additional information, please refer to the official Workshop Manual. Rear Rocker Panel Moulding (501-08)

Install the side step.

Torque 9 Nm.

Using the approved diagnostic tool, configure the deployable side steps.
