FITTING INSTRUCTION

WARNING
  • Accessories which are not properly fitted can be dangerous. Read the instructions carefully prior to fitting. Whilst fitting, comply with instructions at all times. If in doubt, contact your nearest approved retailer.
REMOVAL INSTRUCTIONS
1

Remove the loadspace floor panel.

Remove the rear bumper.For additional information, please refer to the official Workshop Manual. Rear Bumper (501-19 Bumpers)

Remove and discard the armature. For additional information, please refer to the official Workshop Manual. Rear Armature (501-19)

  • Discard the bolts.
Fitting Instruction
1

Install the shield (E) to the Towbar (A).

  1. Install four push fixings (F) from the rear of the Towbar and two from the front.

With the aid of another person, install the towbar.

NOTE
  • Install the bolts hand tight only at this stage.

Install the bolts.

NOTE
  • Repeat this step for the other side.

Install the bolt.

NOTE
  • Repeat this step for the other side.

Install the bolts.

Torque the bolts up.

  • Torque: 100 Nm + 120°

Connect the towbar electrics.

Install the exhaust heat shields, exhaust and rear bumper support bracket. For additional information, please refer to the official Workshop Manual. Rear Armature (501-19)

Install the toweye cover.

Install the rear bumper.For additional information, please refer to the official Workshop Manual. Rear Bumper (501-19 Bumpers)

Install item 'D' where shown.

Securely install the tow hitch when not in use.For additional information, please refer to the official Workshop Manual. Towbar Hitch – North American Market (102-05 Towing)

13

Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, configure towbar electrics.
