FITTING INSTRUCTION

WARNING

Accessories which are not correctly installed can be dangerous. Read the instructions carefully prior to ordering and installation to make sure this accessory is applicable to your variant of vehicle. Comply with instructions at all times. If in doubt, contact your nearest approved retailer.

NOTE

Gasket Seals (N) and (O) may already come installed to the Roof Rail (H) and (I). If this is the case steps 17 and 18 can be ignored.

NOTE

Only the installation of the left side of vehicle is shown in these instructions. Right side is similar.

CAUTION

Take care to not damage body paint.

Using a suitable plastic trim tool, remove trim finisher.

Remove and discard fixings shown.

CAUTION

Take care to not damage body paint.

Using a suitable plastic trim tool, remove and discard ditch finisher.

CAUTION

Take care to not damage body paint.

Using a suitable plastic trim tool, remove existing clips that are attached to the vehicle.

Remove and discard fixings shown.

CAUTION

Make sure no contamination is present before moving to the next installation step.

Remove all foam and adhesive tape residue before cleaning the highlighted surface with the provided wipes.

Remove adhesive backing on parts (A) or (B). Depending on what side of the vehicle you are working on.

Observe locating tabs prior to installation. These will be facing outward when they are installed.

Install ditch finisher making sure locating tabs align with recess in body.

CAUTION

Make sure the Ditch finisher is positioned forward against to the upper windshield seal.

Inspect correct Installment.

Remove adhesive backing on parts (C) or (D). Depending on what side of the vehicle you are working on.

CAUTION

Make sure the clip locator is not dislodged from the vehicle as this can cause water leaks.
To provide an adequate water seal, make sure that the foam seals on the replacement (C) part are not missing.

Install trim finisher in clip order shown.

CAUTION

If the seals are not in their correct position, water will leak through the roof rail fixing holes.

NOTE

Observe left or right bracket markers.

Inspect that the plastic seal is in position shown on parts (E) and (F).

CAUTION

Do not remove capsulated fixings.
If the fixings need to be reinstalled, make sure that the seals are not dislodged by the fixings being pushed through. This will help prevent water leaks.

Inspect the part shown.

CAUTION

Make sure that the seal does not get trapped or dislodges in the process of installing the brackets.

Offer up parts (E) or (F) into position. Only hand tighten at this stage.

Tighten all fixings.

Torque: 32Nm

NOTE

This step 'ONLY' needs to be completed if gasket seals (N) and (O) come as separate parts in your kits VPLRR0155 or VPLRR0155. If they are already installed to the underneath of the roof rails then proceed from step 19.

Attach part (O) or (N) to trim (I) or (H). Depending on what side of the vehicle you are working on.

NOTE

This step 'ONLY' needs to be completed if gasket seals (N) and (O) come as separate parts in your kits VPLRR0155 or VPLRR0155. If they are already installed to the underneath of the roof rails then proceed from step 19.

Make sure the tabs of the small highlighted seal are positioned outside of the seal 'O' tabs.

CAUTION

Inspect plastic seals are in position shown. Missing or incorrectly positioned seals could lead to water leaks.

Inspect part shown.

Install the roof rail in the order shown using spacer with fixings (G) for the rear and fixings (J) for the front. Only hand tighten at this stage.
